Biography

Joseph Dodson was born about 1794 in Virginia. Joseph was the son of George Dodson Jr..

Joseph married Mary "Polly" Dodson, daughter of William E. and Tabitha Hendricks Dodson, on the 20th September 1819 in Pittsylvania county, Virginia.[1]

Joseph appears as head of household in the 1820 Federal census in Pittsylvania county, Virginia. Joseph's household appears as follows: 1 male age 16 thru 25; 2 females under age 10; and 1 female age 16 thru 25.[2]
