Biography
Margaret Mary Dodson was born about 1842 in Talladega County, Alabama. Margaret was the daughter of Constant Dodson and Nancy Small.
Margaret, age 8, appears in the 1850 Federal census in Cherokee County, Texas in the household of her father, Constant Dodson.[1]
Margaret married Shropshire Evans sometime before 1861. No marriage record has been located. (listed in census' as "S. Evans" and listed on death certificate of son, Daniel S. Evans as "Dock Evans"[2])
Margaret, age 27, appears in the 1870 Federal census in Dallas County, Texas in the household of her husband S. Evans.[3]
Margaret, age 39, appears in the 1880 Federal census in Tarrant County, Texas in the household of her husband S. Evans.[4]
Margaret died in 1897, in Tarrant County, Texas. Margaret was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.[5]
