Sir John Drummond, 2nd of Innerpeffray was born circa 1486 in Innerpeffray, Perthshire, Scotland.[citation needed]

He was the son of Sir John Drummond, 1st of Innerpeffray and Eliza Douglas of Lochleven. [1][2]

He married Margaret Stewart, daughter of James IV Stewart, King of Scotland and Margaret Drummond[1], on 20 January 1530/31. They had issue, five daughters:[1][2]:

  1. Margaret, m. Robert, 3rd Lord Elphinstone[3]
  2. Jean, m. Sir James Chisholm of Crmlix[3]
  3. Elizabeth, m. Malcolm Drummond, 3rd of Borelan in 1559[4]
  4. Agnes[2] b. c 1531, d. 21 Jan 1589/90, m. Sir Hugh Campbell of Loudoun[1]
  5. Isabel b. c 1533, m. Matthew Campbell of Loudon[1][5]

He lived at Innerpeffray, Scotland.[2]

A missing John Drummond has been added as a parent. The previous John Drummond was actually his grandfather.

I have noticed John and Margaret, appear not only to be husband and Wife, but Uncle and Niece. As John was her mother’s brother. Usually it was Nobility marrying cousins, but in this case it appears to be a different familial relationship. Thought I would make a note of it, for those who got confused by this family.
