Biography

Walter (Drummond) Drummond of Cargill and Stobhall is a member of Clan Drummond.

Walter was the son of John Drummond and Elizabeth Sinclair[1][2][3][4] born circa 1380.

He married Margaret Ruthven, daughter of Sir WIlliam Ruthven of that ilk.[2][2][5][4] They had issue, including:

  1. Malcolm, his heir[2][5][6]
  2. John[5][6][7]
  3. Walter[2][5][6]
  4. Margaret, m. 1st Andrew Mercer, 4th of Meikelour, m. 2nd Duncan Campbell by 20 Mar 1482[7]

Walter died circa 1445.[2][3]

Research Notes

  • Scots Peerage gives the date of death as 1455. Possibly a typo.[1]
