Biography

Mariot (Dunbar) Falconer

"[David Falconer] married Mariot Dunbar, said to be the daughter of the brother of Gavin Dunbar, Bishop of Aberdeen, and thus probably the daughter of Alexander Dunbar od Conzie, by his wife Janet, daughter of John, 7th Earl of Sutherland. The marriage probably took place not long before 8 August 1520, when David and Mariot (or Marjorie) [note: same in Latin] received a charter under the Great Seal of the lands of [several]. " [1] p 7. No other husband is mentioned.
