Peter was a farmer and a carpenter. He resided in southeastern Mt. Vernon where he operated a tavern. That house remained within the family until the 1980's.
He married Dorothy Bartlett about 1805 at Readfield, Maine.
Peter buried in the Potash Cemetery in Mt Vernon, Maine (Dunn's Corner Cemetery), He was 96 years old when he died.
