Republican Journal (newspaper) Belfast ME. 1852--Launched in this town, 23d inst, from the yard of Carter, Stephenson & Co., a fine schooner of 160 tons, called the "Fred Dyer", owned by Oakes Angier,
Daniel Haraden, Lewis & Stanley, David W. Dyer and Nath'l Patterson, and to be commanded by Capt. Seth C. Bradman.
COULD the schooner have belonged to THIS David W. DYER ??? ==== He established the first
marine railway in Belfast (Hist. Belfast Me by Joseph Williams 2:514).
