Biography
Ora Ella Dyer, the daughter of Sheridan M. Dyer and Laura E. Varney,[1] was born November 20, 1888 in Enfield, Penobscot, Maine and died November 20, 1982 in Porterville, Tulare, California.[2][3] Ora was married at least three times. She married first, Guy Wesley Oldenberry, on August 26, 1906 in Enfield.[4] The marriage lasted nine years and they had one daughter, Violet Goldie Oldenburgh. Ora filed for divorce, citing cruelty and non-support and it was granted in 1915. [5] She married second, Fred G. Jordan, on June 2, 1917.[6] Nothing is known of Fred or what happened to him but by 1925 Ora was living with her daughter Violet in Providence, Rhode Island[7] and there is no sign of Fred. Whether he died or they were divorced is unknown to the writer. Ora married third(?) _____ Connell.[8]
