Martha was born in 1823 tin Topsham, Maine to Samuel and Martha (Bacon) Dyer. In 1840 she married Jonas Davis in New Gloucester, Maine, record stating they were both "of Raymond". They had one son, John H, in 1842. Sadly, Martha died in 1848.
