Ancestry says Benjamin Eastman & Eunice Day had a daughter named Mercy Eastman, b. 15 Apr 1768, d. 21 Feb 1847, and was married to James Smith. Notice also that no "Timothy" is mentioned on Ancestry's page.

Notice that here Geni also agrees and says Eunice's daughter, Mercy, married a fellow named James Smith. DATATITL Local and Family Histories: New England, 1600s-1900s FTW PAGE 126
This is what I'm seeing: Benjamin Eastman had a mother and a sister both named "Mercy". Benjamin then had a daughter of his own that he also named "Mercy". So Mercy, Benjamin's daughter, had an aunt named Mercy and a grand mother named Mercy.
