Clint Eastwood was born on 31 May 1930 at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California, USA and his parents were Margaret Ruth (Runner, 1909–2006) and Clinton Eastwood (1906–1970).
He attended Piedmont Middle School where he was a problematic student. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War but never saw combat.
He first achieved success in the Western TV series "Rawhide". He rose to international fame during the mid-1960s in the Dollars trilogy of Spaghetti Westerns; and as antihero cop, Harry Callahan, in the five "Dirty Harry" films throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
He is an American actor, film director, producer, and composer. He has been recognized with multiple awards and nominations for his work in film, television, and music. His accolades include four Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, three César Awards, and an AFI Life Achievement Award.
In 1986 he was elected and served for two years as the mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, USA.
He has been married and divorced twice, and has eight children by six women.
He is a 12th generation descendant of Mayflower passenger William Bradford. [1]
