Biography
Artelissa (Artelepsa, Artalessa) Eaton was born in 1803 in New York[1]. She was the second daughter named Artelissa born to James Eaton and Polly (Brocklebank) Eaton. She married William Wallace Saxton. They had a large family including John Carmi Saxton who was born in 1835 in Michigan. She passed away in 1870 in Michigan.

Research Notes
Little evidence appears for Artelissa other than the 1850 Federal Census. Ancestry profiles give specific dates but don't support them with sources. FamilySearch also lists her in her son John Carmi Saxton's marriage record, which places the family in Michigan in 1835. No death record is readily available at present
