Mary was born February 29 1684 in Springfield MA, daughter of Samuel Ely and Mary Day. Her father died when she was 8, her mother remarried to Thomas Stebbins, who died when she was eleven. Her mother married for a 3rd time to Deacon John Colman the next year, Mary married her stepfather's son Nathaniel in 1705. She died in Hatfield in 1728 at age 44.[1]
