Married Nathaniel Westfall[1] on January 14, 1748, at Reformed Dutch Church, Smithfield Township, Bucks, Pennsylvania[2].
Children
Catherine Emans and Nathanial Westfall had 8 children:
Hannah Westfall, bp. April 16, 1749, and marked 'illegitimate' by the pastor in the church records. During the 1740's and well into the 1750's the Dutch Reformed Ministers were involved in a dispute of whether a minister ordained in America was legally ordained or was ordination only possible in Holland. Since Catherine's marriage and the baptism of Hanna fall within this period the 'illegitimate' is explained. by the marriage in 1748 not being recognized by the pastor ?????
