Biography

Israel was born in 1824. He is the child of Peter Fairchild and Sarah Lane. He was a farmer who came to Chautauqua County, NY in 1849. He was in the town of Cherry Creek in 1850 and in the town of Sherman in 1855. He and Lucy Ann had 4 children.[1][2]

Cornelius Lane Fairchild was the full brother of Israel Fairchild. This is in the Timothy March Fairchild book and it makes sense because his middle name is Lane. Israel may have had the middle or first name Aaron. He gave his first child that name as well on the Census in 1850 or 1855.

I have death certificates for Israel's 2 children with Lucy Ann Losee Benedict's name and then I found her grave marker in Niobe, Chautauqua, NY.
