Mary was born in 1760. She was a daughter to Benjamin & Melissa Fairchild. She was married to John Meyers. They had five children: Charles-1786-1861; Benjamin, Deborah, Elizabeth & Joshua.
The following was taken from a Document from London Ontario Archives. Upper Canada Land Petition of John Meyers dated Feb. 2, 1797.
"Humbly sheweth - your petitioner from Germany 1776, taken prisoner in Bennington Battle serving his majesty as a Sergeant in Battle. My order were taken from me likewise and all my clothes, and being the worst need of any pensioner in any prisoner, in any part of power, I was under, with the rest of my brother soldiers and your Petitioner request is, to use Your Honors pleasures in granting your the subject what Your Honour thinks most meet and your Petitioner is duty bound will ever pray. The said loyalists had five children which he the Petitioner begs you consider."
Signed John, Mary, & Elizabeth Meyers. Received at the Executive Council Office on Feb. 3, 1797. It was ordered that 200 acres be given to them. They were both buried in Norfolk, Ont.
