H. F. FARLEY IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Henderson French Farley, 78, retired farmer, died at the home of his son, T. K. Farley, Mercer street, at 10:15 o'clock Friday night after an illness due to old age and complications.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Fredeking Funeral Service chapel this afternoon at two o'clock, by the Rev. Paul P. Martin, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church.
Interment will take place in the family cemetery on the old home place, old Athens road.
Pallbearers will be selected from the Wesley Brotherhood of the First M.E. church, of which he was a member.
Henderson F. Farley was born in Giles county, May 3, 1858. On December 18,1878, he married Nancy Ellen Hughes. For fifty years he was one of Mercer county's prominent and successful farmers. He retired ten years ago.
Mr. Farley leaves two sons, T. K. Farley of Princeton and Bernard Farley of Detroit, Michigan, and two daughters, Mrs. R. C. Spangler, of Morgantown, W. Va., and Mrs. Carrie Stafford of Princeton; three brothers, W. O., R. H. and W. J. Farley of Summers county, and two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Farley of Pearisburg, Va., and Mrs. C. M. Vest of Summers county.
