"Mrs. Hattie E. Palmatier, a native of Delaware county, but for the past three years a resident of Laurens, died Saturday, January 5th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oswald Welch, on East Hill, about two miles from Laurens. She was seventy-nine years of age and was the wife of the late Ezra Palmatier, who died two years ago. She is survived by the daughter above named and one son, residing in the West. The funeral services were held Monday at 11 a. m., at the house. The Rev. E. D. Cook of the Laurens Methodist Episcopal church officiated and interment was made at the Plains."
