Birth

Zachariah Field was born 9 Aug 1712 as per New Hampshire Births 1693- (see image of entry att.).[1]

Marriage

Zachariah Field of Falmouth, ME filed an intent to marry Mary Wilson also of Falmouth on 23 July 1738 as recorded by Samuel Moody, Town Clerk. [2] [3]

9 Nov 1738 Cumberland Co, Maine VR Film 1711364. Also recorded in NEHGS July 1860 page 226. Mass & Maine 1798 Direct Tax List Vol 2 page 346 includes a Zacharius Field with 87 acres, tax amount $863.

"Falmouth Gazette & Weekly Advertiser" on 30 March 1786: Zachariah Field, named in list of hog reeves for Falmouth town officers. Daniel Field named in list of informers of deer and sealers of leather. Deed Index for Cumberland Co, ME surname DOV-GA film #10632 gives over 28 entries for Zachariah Field from Book 2 to 87. Estate in volume 60 covering 1809-1810 (refer to film 10671)

History of the town of Durham, New Hampshire (Oyster River Plantation) records his death as 1803.[5] [6]

Research Notes

It is uncertain if Zachariah was born in 1702 or 1712 as the birth record is not very legible, but 1712 is more plausible if his death year of 1803 is correct.

Zackarias Field in entry for Zackarius Field, 09 Aug 1702; citing DOVER TWP,STRAFFORD,NEW HAMPSHIRE; FHL microfilm 1,000,937, reads "Zackarius Field" son of "Zackarias Field" and "Hannah" Electronic birth record New Hampshire Births and Christenings, 1714-1904," [7]

Note that a second copy of that birth record [8] indicates a birth date of 1712.
