Note: John Jefferd Fink, of 13521 Mallard Creek Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at Huntersville Oaks. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Pitts Baptist Church, Concord. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Burial will be at Pitts Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Fink was born March 13, 1925, in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Ode Fink and Eva (Cagle) Fink. He was a retired mechanic from A.G. Boone Company, Charlotte. Mr. Fink was a member of Pitts Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Juanita (Talbert) Fink, who died Feb. 2, 2002; a brother, James Fink; and sisters, Shirley Shue, Margie Lambert and Mary Ella Ferguson. Survivors include sons, Jeff Fink and wife, Terrie, of Mooresville and David Fink and wife, Brenda, of Concord; daughter, Phyllis Ann (Fink) Dalton of Charlotte; sisters, Velma Turner, Marie Lipe, Lucille Plott and Joyce Cook, all of Concord, Bernice Burlyson of Rockwell, Carolyn Burris of Landis, Hattie Crisco of Kannapolis and Louise Talbert of Ooltewah, Tenn.; grandchildren, Helen McGee, Tim Kerr, Breanna Fink and Adria Fink; and five great-grandchildren. The family meeting place will be at the home of a son, David Fink, at 3815 Glenhaven Drive, Concord. Memorials may be made to Pitts Baptist Church Building Fund, 210 Pitts School Road N.W., Concord, NC 28027. Arrangements by Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord.
