Note: Betty Marie Fink Easley Lipe, 81, of 415 Springview Court, formerly of Callie Street, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at CMC-NorthEast. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord, with the Rev. Richard Pethel officiating. Burial will be at Roberta United Methodist Church Cemetery, Concord. Mrs. Lipe was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Ode Fink and the late Eva (Cagle) Fink. She was a member of West A Tabernacle, Kannapolis. She retired from Kaiser Roth Hosiery as a knitter. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sherman A. Easley, who died Jan. 1987, and her second husband, James E. Lipe, who died Oct. 15, 1995; brothers, James Fink and John Fink and sisters, Shirley Shoe, Mary Ella Ferguson and Margie Lambert. Survivors include her son, Larry Easley and wife, Terry Lynn, of Concord; sisters, Velma Turner, Lucille Plott and Joyce Cook, all of Concord, Bernice Burleyson of Mount Pleasant, Louise Talbert of Ootlewah, Tenn., Hattie Crisco of Kannapolis and Caroline Burris of Landis; grandsons, Allen Easley and wife, Leah, and Jason Easley and wife, Michelle, of Concord; great-grandchildren, Allie Easley, Owen Easley and Evan Easley. Mrs. Lipe is also survived by the Lipe family. Stepson, Todd Lipe and wife, Michelle, of Kannapolis; stepdaughter, Ruby Kee and husband, Ben, of Salisbury; step-grandchildren, Eden and Dustin Lipe, Chris Kee, Jeff Kee and Darlene Kee. The family meeting place will be at the home at 415 Springview Court, Concord. Memorials may be made to West A Tabernacle, 1218 West A St., Kannapolis, NC 28081 and Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
