DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Johannes Jurg by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Johannes Jurg:

Quick question- I was looking at orphaned profiles and found the attached daughter, Catherina Elizabeth, but I can not find a record of this person existing, do you know if she was added later or could be proven disproven? Using the parameters of the other attached profiles there is no obvious record or even a mention of this couple having a daughter Catherina Elizabeth nor one with of the 2 names alone and I can't find a marriage to a Hittel from any other children. Thanks for any help, Becky Elizabeth (Simmons-11603)

Hello, I had made myself manager of this profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Fisher-1402 I have now removed myself as It appears there are merge recommendations, that frankly I do not have the time to sort out. You managers listed on this profile obviously have done the work in the background to consider the merge recommendation listed on the comments of the above Fisher-1402

I think this historic person deserves the attention of family who will follow through on this family.

This is my 6th great grandfather and I am working on this branch f my family, helping add sources through both a team project and on my own. This said I was hoping for some insight on the Sources part if the Bio- I haven't seen this format where there is a numeric system (1-8) saying "Citation gives evidence..." but there isn't an actual citation I can see. Is this an older format or was the citation deleted? I know we need to remove "LDS site" as a source since it isn't an actual cited source but I was going to quickly replace those fragments with the intended (I think) source citations. Either way I'd love to either work together to clean up the profile and get it sourced or provide the info for you to do it. The main issue is the discrepancy between the mother of Johann George Fisher has been written as two different women on various sites and I was hoping to have as close to an airtight solution as possible on here for others to refer to.

Cheers! Becky Elizabeth (Simmons-11603)

The numbered sources in green are from when someone uploaded a gedcom including this ancestor. I agree that this profile does need to be cleaned up. I will work on it this week. You are welcome to do what you can.

Thank you! When I re read my post in the response email part of it almost read back as of I was "challenging" something but can assure you that I am genuinely trying to make sure I learn the correct sourcing methods while also contributing to our family tree. I sincerely appreciate your response and added a couple basic sources but ended up caught on FamilySearch where there is a blatant mix-up for 2 Fisher families, one Johan George if Cambridgeshire, England and one of PA, both with sons of same names born at roughly the same time but one married Anna Eberhard (PA) and the other married a Mary Conrad/Conradt. Then I realized this is also on Ancestry, My heritage and another set of profiles here on wikitree and the sources are combined throughout- so just a head's up that some sourcing may be found by looking at Fisher / Fischer of Cambridgeshire as well bc I spent over an hour detaching, moving and switching some on FS. Sorry to ramble. Thanks Again! Becky
