Phebe Miner Fish, born 24 Jan 1843, probably was a daughter of Nathan Gallup Fish (1804-1870) and Emeline Frances (Miner) Fish (1805-1871). Notably, she is not listed among their children in the Fish genealogy [1]. Phebe was counted with her birth family at age 7 in the 1850 census of Groton, Connecticut [2], likewise at age 17 in 1860 [3], thus her connection with this family appears to be valid.
Phebe married 10 May 1864 at Groton, Connecticut, Robert P. Wilbur [4] (1839–1913), and the event was published in several municipalities of Connecticut [5],[6].
Three children are listed in their online memorial sites who appear among those currently profiled. The family was counted in census records of Groton, then Mystic [7],[8],[9],[10]. By 1920, Phebe was widowed, residing in New London [11].
Phebe Miner (Fish) Wilbur died 20 July 1926 (per grave marker and death notices [12],[13]). Her grave is in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, New London County, Connecticut, USA.
Notes
Find-A-Grave profile header is incorrect re. death date vs. what appears on grave marker [14].
