WILLIAM S.9 FISH (Charles8, Sands7, Nathan6, Nathan5, Samuel4, John3, Alice2, John1), cavalry officer, son of (1989) Charles and Esther (Williams) Fish, was b. at Stonington, Conn., Aug. 25, 1833, and d. at Glasgow, Scotland, Apr. 10, 1879. He may have been on duty for a time at Glasgow, as his son Edmund also d. there. He was a Colonel of Cavalry (1st Conn. Cavalry) during the Civil War. He m. Hortense Desire Gallup, dau. of Palmer and Desire (Be(a)ll) Gallup, Sept. 14, 1856. She was b. Sept. 29, 1836, and d. Oct. 12, 1902, at the home of her son William, at Roseville, Newark, N. J.
