Biography

Hamon[1] or Hamo Fitton of Bollin[2]

Hamon Fitton was born about 1322 in Bollinfee, Wilmslow, Cheshire, England.

Hamon de "Pitton (sic)" married Elizabeth, daughter and coheir of Sir Piers Thornton[3] and his wife, Lucy Hellesby.[1] Lucy was one of Sir William Hellesby's daughters and coheirs.[1]

Hamo and his wife, were the parents of:

  1. Jane Fitton, heir; Joan was married to 1) Richard de Venables and 2) Nicholas de Vernon;[1] [2] and
  2. Peter Fitton, died without having children.[1]

A writ mandamus was issued on 29 April, 1388, to inquire into what lands Hamo Fitton, of Bollin, was seized of when he died.[2]
