Thomas Arundel, Knt., was the third son of John FitzAlan, Knt., 2nd Lord Arundel, and Elizabeth Despenser.[1][2][3] His date of birth is unknown, but his eldest brother was born in 1385 and his father died in 1390, so Thomas was born sometime during that period. His father held several estates in Surrey and Sussex,[4] so he may have been born in one of those places.
Thomas was Steward of the Household to King Henry VI and held lands in West Betchworth, Surrey; Chancton and Shopwick, Sussex.[1]
Thomas married Joan Moyne, daughter of Henry Moyne.[1] They had one son and one daughter:
Eleanor, wife of Sir Thomas Browne,[5] and of Sir Thomas Vaughan; heiress to her brother before 1436/7[1]
Thomas died overseas about 1430-1431. His widow remarried to John Burden, Esq. and was living in 1443/4.[1]
