His estimated birth year is 1278.

He was the son of Fulk Fitz Warin and Margaret de la Pole. [1]

1300 With King in Scotland

He was with the King in Scotland in 1300, and again in 1303. [2]

1306 Knighted

He was knighted by the Prince of Wales at Westminster 22 May 1306. [2]

1310 Marriage to Eleanor de Beauchamp

He married Eleanor de Beauchamp.[2]

He married before 28 Feb 1310 Eleanor de Beauchamp, daughter of John de Beauchamp, Knt, of Hatch Beauchamp, Somerset.[3]

Eleanor Beauchamp was the daughter of John de Beauchamp and his wife Cecily de Vivonne. [4]

1313 Beyond Seas

He was beyond seas in May 1313, was about to go to Ireland on the King’s service in February 1316/7, and to parts beyond seas in April 1320, and was in Gascony on the King’s service in 1324 and 1325. [2]

1317 Summoned to Parliament

He was summoned to Parliament from 20 Nov. 1317 by writs directed Fulconi filio Warini. [2]

1318 Pardoned

He was pardoned, as an adherent of the Earl of Lancaster, on 22 Oct. 1318. [2]

1321 Constable of Royal Army

He was Constable of the royal army gainst rebels. [1]

1327 Robbed

He was robbed at Burford, Oxfordshire by two men. A portion of the stolen goods -- 8 silver dishes, a silk girdle, a gold brooch, and a chest containing documents were ordered to be reswtored to him 20 Jan 1321/2. [1]

1330 Fled and Returned

Early in 1330, being accused of being an adherent of Edmund, Earl of Kent, he fled the country, and had a safe conduct to return from beyond seas on 25 Nov. 1330." [2]

1336 Death

He died shortly before 6 June 1336. HIs widow, Eleanor, Lady Fitz Warin, was living 18 November 1341. She left a will dated 1346. [1]

Issue

He and his wife Eleanor de Beauchamp had two sons and two daughters [1]

  1. Fulk. His mother's will mentions his wife lady Margaret, his first son also named Fulco, and his 3rd son Phil'.
  2. Ioun (or Ives or John), John is the name his mother used in her will, and it also mentions two daughters Elanor and Ele.
  3. Margaret
  4. Cecily.

CP mentions that his sons Fulk and Ioun, were detained in prison at Shrewsbury, "and on 8 Oct. orders were given that they should be treated without duress".

Research Notes

CP uses Fitz-Warine as the surname spelling in Vol.3.[6] But it uses Fitzwarin in Vol.5, which is about the family itself.
