Jacques Timothee Fortin was the son of Louis Fortin and Madeleine Langelier.
He was born on 25 July 1742 and baptized on 27 July at St-Ignace-de-Loyola, Cap St Ignace, Quebec Canada. [1]
Jacques Timothee married 1st on 16 Jan 1764 at Cap-St-Ignace to Louise Bernier, daughter of Jean Bernier and Claire Fortin. [2] They were the parents of ten children before Louise died on the third of September 1784. [3]
Jacques Timothee Fortin, veuf Louise Bernier, married 2nd on 1 July 1794 at Cap-St-Ignace (St-Ignace-de-Loyola) to Francoise Elisabeth Gamache, daughter of Michel Gamache and Marie Francoise Fournier.[4]
It was a short marriage, lasting only until Dec 20th, when Francoise died at age 40. [5] She was buried the next day at Cap-St-Ignace. What a sad Christmas it must have been.
