As per THE MAYFLOWER SOCIETY, William Fosdick who married Dorothy Colt, is NOT a proven son of James Fosdick. Mayflower says that it is possible that James Fosdick's son William may have died in the war. If this is so, than James Fosdick's son William could not be the same William Fosdick who married Dorothy Colt. If anyone has proven this line to the Mayflower Society, Please let me know.

I am trying to figure this out. I have applied for The Mayflower Society and they told me William was not the son of James. However, I have Fosdick Family History dated pretty far back, some hand written and everything states that he in fact is James' son. Th yDna test chart shows the lineage as well. I have been doing this for a while but do not in any way claim to be the brightest but I am very puzzled. Where can I go to understand this better. (I am married to a Fosdick)
