Mary (Foster) Peabody immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).
Mary Foster, daughter of Reginald Foster the Ipswich pioneer immigrant, [1] is mentioned in her father's will dated at Ipswich, 30 April 1680, as follows:
Mary was appointed administrator of her husband's Daniel Wood's estate on March 27, 1649. His entire estate was left to the widow for the bringing up of their two children. [4]
When Mary and Francis Peabody married about 1650, he had five children under the age of ten by his first wife. [2] By her second husband, Francis Peabody, she had three sons, and six daughters: [2]
In January, 1695/6, Francis Peabody gave 'my loving son' 100 acres at Boxford. [1]
Francis died at Topsfield on February 19, 1697/8. [1]
In his will written on January 20, 1695/6, Francis Peabody left bequests to the following: [5]
