Biography

Mary (Freeborn) Weaver immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Mary baptised 28 Jan 1626/7 at St Mary, Maldon, Essex, England. At 30 April 1634 William Freeborn aged 40 and Mary aged 30 and Mary aged 7, Sarah aged 2 enrolled at Ipswich for passage to New England. [1]

That Mary, daughter of William Freeborn, was wife of Clement Weaver is supported by the following:

This Writting Witnesseth that I Clementh Weaver of the Towne of Newport on Rhod Island and Husband to Mary Weaver Daughter to William ffreeborne of the Towne ofPortsmouth on the sayd Island late Deceased have in the behalfe of Mary my wife Received of Gidion ffreeborne of the Towne of Portsmouth abovsayd sonn and heire and Executor to the sayd Willam late Deceased the full and just sum of Twenty pownds which is full satisfaction of aLegusie given to Mary my wife by thewill of her sayd ffather late Deceased... Wittnes my hand the third Day of May in the yeare of our Lord one Thowsand six hundred and Seventy...[2]

I've updated the image of her christening at Maldon, Essex. Birth place should be edited. Gm, the parish register both indicate she was born Maldon, the family went to Ipswich to emigrate.
