Biography

Ruth French was born in Salisbury, Essex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay on 9 December 1713. Her parents were Timothy French and Mary Harriman. [1]

John Currier and Ruth French married 29 Apr 1736 in Salisbury. [2]

When John Currier died he left his slave Sego to his wife in his will written on Dec 17, 1757. Proved on March 1, 1758 [3]

  • "Item To my beloved wife Ruth Currier I will and bequeath forty dollars to be her own as also my negro servant named Sego to be at her dispose ....... "

Betty. There is now another merge for French-1649 from French-1655. Can I suggest that you remove the death dates from the profiles and put a note containing all this information into the biography and then merge then. This will clear this problem from the Wikitree Error Checker and still leave a trail for people to follow if they are interested.

40 year difference in date of death with this profile and French-1649. Also on French-1649 she died in New Hampshire, on this profile she died in Massachusetts. Need to research.
