John Friend III was born January 28th, 1739 to parents John Friend II and Martha Conant in Wenham, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] He married, first, Sarah Lee Wallis, on February 10th, 1763 in Wenham, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony. They had two children together, born in Wenham:
Sarah died on May 4th, 1766 eight days after the birth of their second child, most likely due to complications from childbirth.[4] John married, second, Hannah Wells on December 11th, 1766 in Wenham, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[5] Intention was filed on December 9th, 1766 in Ipswich.[6] They had nine children together, all born in Wenham:
John passed away on November 20th, 1793 in Wenham, Essex, Massachusetts.[citation needed] He is buried in Wenham Cemetery.[16]
