Fuller's Genealogy of some Descendants of Edward Fuller of the Mayflower says this about Ashbel:[4]
He removed to Ferrisburg, Vt., before 1798. He was a fifer in the Revolution, in his father's company. When a young man he went with several of his brothers into Vermont and settled at or near Ferrisburg, where they established iron works. The later years of his life were spent in St. Lawrence Co., N. Y., where he died.
NOTE: His move to Ferrisburg was much earlier as all but the youngest of his children (births between August of 1787 and June of 1808), were born in Ferrisburg, Vermont. Fuller's account of the children list all being born in Ferrisburg. Fuller-5853 23:44, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
Fuller's information about Ashbel may not be accurate as the stated place of Keysville cannot be located in St. Lawrence County and time was between June 1, 1850 (date used on Census to determine residency) and 7 September 1850 when US Census enumerated Ashbel as living in Fowler, St. Lawrence County, New York as of June 1. No death or burial record has been found. Most likely death occurred after 7 September 1850 in Fowler/Fullersville.[5]
The United States Census records confirm that Fuller's data about when Ashbel moved to Ferrisburg was not accurate:
Ashbel resided in Ferrisburgh, Vermont
from before 1790[6] as enumerated in the US Census of that year
by 1830[10] he was residing in Fowler, Saint Lawrence, New York.
It was in Fowler, Saint Lawrence, New York that Ashbel and Loraine raised a family of eleven children:
In 1800, their seven oldest children were living with them.[7]
After ten years their two oldest had married and started their own homes. and they had four more children. Their household totaled eleven in 1810. Their youngest child passed away in her third year of life.[8]
Four more children married and by 1830 their household had decreased to six.[9][10]
In 1840. The only census record for Ashbel Fuller (possibly his son, Ashbel, Jr.) also had 2 young adults and a young boy. Their ages did not line up with any known children or grandchildren. They could have been other relatives or servants or boarders. Ashbel's wife passed away in 1841. Ashbel was living with the family of one of his sons, Heman, in the year of his death, 1850.[11]
Ashbel's wife, Loraine, passed away January 16, 1841 in Ferrisburgh, Addison, Vermont. She was 73.
By 1850, Ashbell was living in the household of his son, Heman, who had a wife, Amelia 45 born in Massachusetts and their four children all born, probably in Fullerville, a hamlet near Fowler, St. Lawrence, New York.[12]

Pat, In looking at the "US Census for 1850" Ashbel lived with Heman, not Hiram as you say in your last sentence of the Biography. Can I make that change for you?
