Biography

Charles François Gagnon was born 11 Jul 1721 and baptized the same day at the age of five or six hours in the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, L’Islet, Canada, Nouvelle-France. He was the son of Alexandre Gagnon and Angélique Caron and his godparents were Charles Fortin the son and Marie Paré wife of François Caron. [1]

Charles François Gagnon, son of Alexandre Gagnon and Angelique Caron of the parish of L’Islette, and Marie Joseph Peltier, daughter of Joseph Peltier and Ursule St Pierre of the parish of St Roch, were married 1 Feb 1745 in the parish of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, La Pocatière, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Present at the marriage were Sr. Alexandre Gagnon father of the groom, Joseph Peltier father of the bride, Joseph Caron brother of the groom and Jacques Peltier cousin. [2]

No burial record found. His wife, Marie Josephe Pelletier, married Joseph Durand 7 Feb 1757.
