Captain Charles Garcelon served in the United States Civil War.

Charles was in the 16th regiment of the Maine Infantry in the Civil War. He enlisted as a 2nd lieutenant on August 14th 1862 and and discharged on June 10th 1864. He reenlisted with a promotion to Captain on the same day and was discharge on May 11th 1866.^[2]

Charles married Esther Coffin^[3] on March 27th 1872^[3] in St Louis, Missouri, USA^[3].

Charles was buried in Garcelon Cemetery^[4] in Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine, United States with a death date of May 12th, 1935.
