Charles was born on November 14th 1842[1] in Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine, USA[1]., son of Alonzo Garcelon[1] and Ann Augusta (Waldron) Garcelon[1].
Captain Charles Garcelon served in the United States Civil War.
Enlisted: 14 Aug 1862
Mustered out: 30 Jun 1864

Charles was in the 16th regiment of the Maine Infantry in the Civil War. He enlisted as a 2nd lieutenant on August 14th 1862 and and discharged on June 10th 1864. He reenlisted with a promotion to Captain on the same day and was discharge on May 11th 1866.[2]

Charles married Esther Coffin[3] on March 27th 1872[3] in St Louis, Missouri, USA[3].

Charles was buried in Garcelon Cemetery[4] in Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine, United States with a death date of May 12th, 1935.
