Abraham (age 25) and Abby (age 20) lived in Lewiston, Andrescoggin, Maine in 1870, where he was a Worker in a Cotton Mill.[5]
His was a soldier in the Spanish American War. Sergeant in Battery A, 1st Battalion Heavy Artillery in Spanish American War.[6] Militia, 2nd LT in Nealey's Rifles Co. D, Maine Vol. Militia, COL A. B. Nealey made strenuous efforts for a reorganization after the Lewiston Light Infantry was disbanded; History of Androscoggin Maine, 1891, p. 404
They remained living in Lewiston where by 1900 he had become a House Carpenter, and Abbie-40 was taking care of the home and childern, Harriet-19, and James-18..[7]
He was a Mail Clerk in the Post Office in 1910,[8] and 1920.[9]
He died at age 79, on November 5, 1934 in Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine and was buried November 12, 1934[10] in the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery.[1]
