Biography

Marie Josephe "Josette" Gautier dite St-Germain was born and baptized on 16 Oct 1709 in Notre-Dame de Montréal, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Her parents were Pierre Gauthier and Marie Anne Tessier. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Jean Baptiste Payet and Marie Anne Aubuchon, daughter of Joseph Aubuchon. The officiating priest was Priat.[1]

Marriage
Marie Josephe Gautier married Jean Loiseau, aged 19 on the record, son of Joachim Loiseau and Agnès Chicoine, on 27 Jul 1726 in Sainte-Famille de Boucherville. In the presence of known witnesses Joseph Lambert, Jean Gautier, Jacques Archambaud, Joseph Tellier, and Jacques Gautier. The celebrant priest was Saladin.[2]

Death and Burial
Josette Gautier, widow Loiseau, passed away on 24 Feb 1779 being given the age of around 71 years on the record. Her burial was the following day in Sainte-Famille de Boucherville, Province of Québec. [Act states: Spouse's first name has been omitted][3]
