Margaret's father John Gaylor ... Margaret's mother Sarah Downey ...
Bible record
Margaret's father was John Gaylor who came into Coosa Co. between 1840 & 1850. Her father died in 1853 & his estate settlement can be found in Rockford, county seat of Coosa Co. We also think that John was the son of James Gaylor who won land in the Georgia Land lottery as a Rev war vet.
Margaret had a brother named James Fletcher Gaylor who married Sarah Ann Wingard, & Sarah Ann was the daughter of Christian Wingard.) I am a descendant from the James Fletcher & Sarah Ann Gaylor union.
John married Sarah (Sally) Downey in 1819, Jackson Co., GA. I have Sarah Downey Gaylor in the 1860 census, but can not track her after that.
