ODESSA - Irene Elizabeth Page, 93, died Sunday, April 24, 2005, inAndrews.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Llano CemeteryEast in
Amarillo with the Rev. Danny Logan of Bell Avenue Baptist Churchofficiating.
Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel,Fifth
Avenue and Pierce Street.
Mrs. Page was born March 6, 1912, in Haskell County to Ira M. Gilesand Mary
Elizabeth Woolsey Giles. She married Lloyd Christy in 1929 and they hadtwo
daughters, Elaine Elizabeth and Juanita Lou. In 1962, she married NelsonPage.
She retired in 1974 from the Episcopal Church Conference Center inAmarillo.
She won many ribbons at the Tri-State Fair in Amarillo for culinary and
textiles for 30 years straight. She was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist
Church.
Special thanks and love to granddaughter Roxanne Howard and herhusband, John,
for their excellent care giving, and to Andrews Home Hospice and HospiceHouse
in Odessa.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Swilley of Andrews andJuanita Lively
and husband, Jim B., of Amarillo; six stepchildren, Josie Moody of Fresno,
Calif., Sophie Loften and husband, Daryl, and Jim Page, all of Sacramento,
Calif., Delores Snowden of Fishkill, N.Y., Frances Larsen and husband,Jack,
of Golden, Colo., and Bob Page and wife, Barbara, of Englewood, Colo.;seven
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and29
nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Home Hospice, 803 N. Main St.,Andrews, TX
79714; or Hospice House, 903 N. Sam Houston St., Odessa, TX 79761.
