Biography

Henry Glascock was the son of John Glascock and his wife Joan Pownde. He was born in 1548 in the Essex village of High Easter. The Glascock family were small landowners and low-level gentry; several of the Glascock men had received an education. Henry Glascock studied theology and became the Vicar of the High Easter Church of England congregation. In 1576, at 27 years old, he married Grace Eumio (aka Emew, Ennew), b. 1552 in Coggeshall, Essex, England, the daughter of John Ennew.[1]

The couple had 10 children:[1][2]
