Ebenezer Goodwin performed Patriotic Service in Connecticut in the American Revolution.
Ebenezer Goodwin was baptized on May 29, 1743, son of Isaac and Ruth (Gaylord) Goodwin. [1][2]
He married Ame Webster in about 1762/3. Ame was baptized on January 26, 1746, daughter of Isaac and Ame (White) Webster of Hartford. [2]
In 1762 Ebenezer Goodwin received from his grandfather William Gaylord a deed of fifty seven acres of land in the town of New Hartford, Litchfield County, to which place he soon removed and became one of the leading citizens of the town. [1]
He was Listed in 1772 and 1774; one of the Committee of Inspection in 1775-76; and one of the Committee of the Ecclesiastical Society from 1780 to 1796; beside holding various other positions. [1]
