Biography
John was born about 1731. John Goold ... [per information from Rodney Timbrook, referencing his mother by his Mary Makepeace-1, he had at least two more siblings, Nathaniel and Polly. Rodney also had the later more accepted spelling of 'Gould'.] He passed away in 1809. [1]
From Kenneth Merritt on 8-22-16: I am a Goold descendant through John Sr and John Jr . John jr was gggf to my grandmother (Flavilla Goold b 12/31/95 in Chester Vt). The comment listed here is the generation where there is confusion. Nathaniel , or William ? is John Sr father it is believed. I have not been able to follow the Makepeace line yet. I am working on the Goold and Merritt lineages. Has anyone found documentation for John Sr birth ? or Nathaniel ? (kmerrit@genre.com) No more info is currently available for John Goold. Can you add to his biography?
