Henrietta "Etta" Victoria Green was born at Pereaux, Nova Scotia in 1860. She was the daughter of Charles Vincent Green and Margaret Ann Pineo. Etta married John Frederick Matthews at Three Sisters, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia in 1879. Matthews was born about 1854/55, son of William Matthews and Mary. He was a seaman and lived at Point Wolfe, New Brunswick.
John Matthews died before Etta married Elijah Huntley sometime before their first child was born in 1893. Elijah was born 7 Aug 1864 at Nova Scotia, son of Peter Huntley and Alvena of Economy, Nova Scotia.
Elijah and Etta lived at Bass River, Nova Scotia. Elijah Huntley died of natural causes at Upper Economy, Colchester Co., Nova Scotia 2 Mar 1922, age 59.[1] Etta (Green) Huntley passed away at Bass River due to pneumonia 13 Jan 1931, age 70, death reported by her son Harry.[2] Etta’s son Earle had died of pneumonia at the age of 33 just nine days earlier.
In 1911 the family is living at Hants County, Nova Scotia.[3]
