Biography

Mrs. Ozay Greene McElroy, age 84, of Hueytown, AL, was born to the late James T. and Angie L. Greene on January 22, 1930 and she completed her heavenly family reunion on December 17, 2014. Ozay spent her days serving food to the public until retirement. Ozay and her late husband, Charles, opened a food service called Jiff’s Hot Dogs in Branchville, AL. They specialized in BBQ with their secret BBQ sauce. They also had a food service in Fultondale known as Fultondale BBQ in the 1980s. Her last conversation with her daughter, Becky, was about how she loved her kids. Mrs. McElroy is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Greene Scott (Roy); her granddaughters, Renee Scott Hollis (Donny) and Danie`l Scott Pilkerton (Chris); great grandchildren, Stephen, Meighan, Blaise, and Mason Hollis and Hannah, Jackson, and Victoria Pilkerton. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, with Chris Pilkerton officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army in Ozay’s memory.
