Anne Grey was the the daughter of George Grey, 2nd Earl of Kent and his second wife Catherine Herbert.
Anne and her step-brother Richard Grey (3rd Earl of Kent) married siblings. Anne married, as his second wife, John Hussey, 1st Baron Hussey of Sleaford. Her step-brother Richard married Lord Hussey's sister Elizabeth Hussey.[1]
Children
In her will dated March 1, 1544 she names herself "Anne, Lady Hussey, in the town of Ufford in the county of Northampton" and only mentions two unnamed daughters.[1]
Nina Green identifies these daughters as:
Elizabeth Hussey who married (1), as his third wife, Walter Hungerford, Baron Hungerford of Heytesbury; married (2) Sir Robert Throckmorton of Coughton, Warwickshire[1]; died January 23, 1571/2 and buried at Weston Underwood, co. Bucks[2]. Lincolnshire Pedigrees gives the husbands name as "William, Lord Hugerford",
Bridget Hussey; born 1525/6, died 12 January 1601; married (1) Sir Richard Morison of Cassiobury, Hertfordshire; married (2) Henry Manners, 2nd Earl of Rutland; and married (3) in 1566 Francis Russell, 2nd Earl of Bedford.[1][2]
Lincolnshire Pedigrees gives these additional children:
Sir Giles Hussey of Caythorpe, knighted by the Earl of Surrey at the Sacking Morlaix in France 1522; married Jane daughter and co-heir of Thomas Pigot of Clotheram, co. York[2]
