Biography

James was born 08 September 1778 in Henry County, Virginia. [1] He was a son of William Anson Halbert Sr and Elizabeth Hill. He passed away in 1860 in Cherry Valley, Crawford County, Missouri. He was buried in Schweider Cemetery, Crawford County, Missouri. [1]

REV. JAMES IRA HALBERT (WILLIAM ANSON4, JOEL3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1) was born September 08, 1778 in Henry County, Virginia, and died Abt. 1860 in Steelville, Crawford County, Missouri. He married (1) FRANCES PEPPER 1798 in Pendleton District, Anderson County, South Carolina, daughter of JOHN PEPPER and ELIZABETH OLDHAM. She was born 1782 in Rockingham, Guilford County, North Carolina, and died Bef. 1860 in Missouri. He married (2) LOUISA WILKERSON November 29, 1857. She was born Abt. 1836.
