The Gene Pool Title: Edmund West, Provo Utah, The Gene Pool was created for use in the study of human genetics and disease. Compiling data for genetic research does not require the same type of documentation as traditional genealogical research. The genes themselves verify relationships and qualify or disqualify a person from a particular study. Citing the source of every genealogical fact was deemed unnecessary and cost prohibitive. Records were created from birth, marriage and death records; obituaries; probate records; books of remembrance; family histories; genealogies; family group sheets; pedigree charts; and other sources. After viewing the quality of the source material used to create the gene pool the electronic rights to the data were purchased. (Ancestry.Com)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ebenezer by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ebenezer:
Hamlin-195 and Hamblen-28 appear to represent the same person because: Same dates, parents spouse and children, see details in Hamblen-28. I'm suggesting Hamblen is the correct LNAB as this is the surname used in the sources for Ebenezer, but the person completing the merge can reverse if you disagree! Also preparing to propose a merge for duplicate spouses.
