  • She married, firstly, James Johnstone of Johnstone, younger, son of John Johnstone of Johnstone and Elizabeth Jardine, before 1552.
  • She married, secondly, David Douglas, 7th Earl of Angus, son of Sir George Douglas and Elizabeth Douglas, after 8 May 1552.[1]
  • She married, thirdly, Sir Patrick Whitelaw of that Ilk after June 1557.
  • As a result of her marriage, Margaret Hamilton was styled as Countess of Angus in January 1557.
