Biography

Anthony was born about 1667. He was the son of John Noble Hardy and Emily Parker. He passed away about 1742.

He was one of four brothers who immigrated to America in 1695. He and his father first began to change the spelling of their last name from Hardy to Hardee. He settled on a plantation in Chowen Colony (this was in what is now North Carolina prior to the formation of counties). Anthony came to Virginia in 1665.

New Bern, NC was not settled by Europeans until 1710, so Anthony Hardy could not have been married there in 1686.
